Fast paced, highly occupied extended stay hotel in the Birmingham area looking for dependable, hard working Front Desk Clerk. A qualified candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Reliable - shows up to work on time, according to schedule, has own transportation.
- Knowledgeable - has previous experience working with day to day cash transactions in fast paced environment, able to multi-task and take ownership of specific duties assigned.
- Motivated - able to take on daily responsibilities and eager to earn a larger role, within the company
- Detailed - able to understand and explain company policies and procedures to others, relay critical and accurate information to the General Manager, dictate the pace of business when acting as the Mgr on Duty
Customer Service experience is always an attractive selling point, but not a requirement. We are more concerned with finding an individual that is eager to learn and progress with the company. We can teach a strong candidate everything they need to know to be successful, but the desire to succeed must come from within the individual.
Clerk will be responsible for handling all financial transactions / guest requests for linen, room supplies, etc. / entering work orders and updating room status / briefing overnight staff on details of the shift and day
All applicants will be required to pass drug screen and background check(s).
Applicants will be considered if they have their own, reliable transportation.
Compensation is hourly and will depend on experience and performance during trial period. There are no medical and/or retirement benefits available.
EOEEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
