Sr. Systems Administrator

This is a contract to hire position for a Senior System Administrator who is responsible for planning, installing, configuring and maintaining server software/hardware systems and system requirements.
This position is also responsible for administering and monitoring security devices and firewalls.
Essential Functions Installs, configures, updates and maintains server software/hardware Troubleshoots and replaces failed hardware and resolves system issues Tracks system capacity / performance, initiates corrective action and generates reports Administers security devices and firewalls Monitors security devices and events Performs database monitoring and maintenance Configures SAN/NAS devices for data storage, replication and backup Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Systems Engineering or equivalent level of experience Minimum 5 years' progressively responsible IT work experience Skills Knowledge of Windows Server Environment, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, Virtualization utilizing Hyper-V, familiar with Lync and Unified Messaging Working knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager and associated products Strong technical aptitude and working knowledge of all areas of IT environment with a wide variety of devices, infrastructures and operating systems Familiar with Cisco IOS and general networking Familiar with NIDS/HIDS/IPS and SIEM systems Good interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact with others Good organizational skills with ability to work on multiple projects / assignments simultaneously Must be able to work under general supervision in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities Must be able to obtain government security clearance.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
