Description:
Responsible for supporting the Marketing and Corporate Communications function of The Ravens Group, Inc. by creating documents in order to complete submittals to Government and commercial Requests for Proposal, Requests For Quotations, Requests For Information, and Sources Sought, as well as unsolicited proposals. Meets all deadlines and follows Government and customer specifications, as well as company policies and procedures. Focuses on creating clear, consistent messaging and high quality content.
Core
Responsibilities:
o Complete all proposal activities as assigned by the Director, Marketing and Corporate Communications quickly and efficiently, according to established deadlines, guidelines and standards.
o Read, review and understand RFP requirements.
o Insert and tailor boilerplate response material as applicable.
o Work with the Marketing and Corporate Communications Team to ensure that information included in proposal is current with respect to corporate background, functional capabilities, and past performance descriptions.
o Ensure that response document is built and formatted in a manner that adheres to both response requirements and marketing and branding guidelines.
o Ensure a smooth flow of information and consistent messaging in proposals by proofing, editing and rewriting all sections of the proposal as required.
o In collaboration with response development team, identify win themes, discriminators, and capture strategies.
o Work with Subject Matter Experts to develop proposal responses to include illustrations and other graphical elements.
o Work with Proposal team to ensure that written answers coordinate with the objectives outlined in the RFP.
o Revise proposals based on input gathered through review process.
o Keep abreast of industry standards and best practices.
o Assist in the completion of specific sections of proposals as assigned by the Director, Marketing and Corporate Communications.
o Continuously update and expand professional knowledge in order to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.
o Participate in Kickoff, Stand Up, and Lessons Learned meetings as directed by the Director, Marketing and Corporate Communications.
o Be dedicated to the goal of winning new business, accepting the inevitability of engagement in the process outside of normal business hours.
o Assist in the research, editing and production of proposals as assigned by the Director, Marketing and Corporate Communications.
o Contribute to and implement ideas for improving department efficiency.
o Identify and develop new skills through training.
o Perform Marketing and Corporate Communications functions as assigned by the Director, Marketing and Corporate Communications.
o Prepare for, attend and/or participate in all relevant meetings as directed by the Director, Marketing and Corporate Communications.

Minimum
Qualifications:
o Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts discipline
o Knowledge of the Shipley Proposal Process
o Strong project and time management skills
o Experience in proposal or grant writing
o Ability to embrace change, readily exchanging pride in authorship for corporate success
o Ability to grasp and understand technical concepts and solutions
o Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent tasks and meet deadlines
o Ability to work effectively with co-workers and customers
o Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, in particular Word, PowerPoint and Excel (intermediate to advanced user level required), including ability to import and manipulate various media
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Strong organizational skills
o Ability to prioritize
o Ability to work in an extremely fast paced, high-pressure, deadline-driven, zero defects environment
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
