Sr. Java Developer
ITnova has a need for a Sr Java Developer to provide ongoing application and technical support to assist in analysis, programming, assurance testing, implementation, and support of the District Court Criminal System, the Circuit Court Reporting System, and the migration of Circuit Court Criminal data (CJIS) to an Oracle database.
This position in contingent on award of the contract.
Responsibilities
Agile, self-motivated environment with multiple, concurrent priorities.
Evaluate, learn and prototype new technologies.
Analyze user interface requirements in order to design and implement new web applications.
Prepare and maintain documentation for all software development phases (Use Cases, Design Documents, UML, Technical Documentation)
Evaluate business rules and objectives in order to design new object oriented solution components within an SOA architecture. Prepare and implement automated test solutions for each component.
Package and configure J2EE components for deployment across development, test and production environments. Components include web services, EJB, shared libraries, front-end web applications and stand-alone applications. Servers include Oracle Application Server, Web Logic Application Server and Stand-Alone AIX Servers. Configuration uses ANT scripts and includes Security configuration.
Evaluate event-driven integration requirements in order to design new J2EE integration interfaces. Prepare and implement automated test solutions for each new interface.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Eight (8) years of Java/J2EE programming experience
Experience with some of the following technologies:
Java EE 5 or Java EE 6, Spring Framework, LDAP, JQuery, AJAX, JSP, XML, JAXB, Hibernate, JSON, JavaScript, JSTL, Oracle SQL, Jasper Reports, JUnit, Web Services JAX-WS, Struts, SAX, or Maven.
Domain knowledge of NIEM 2.0, ECF 4.0 and court related concepts and business activities.
Good communication and documentation skills are essential.
Solid experience with Reverse Engineering and Refactoring code.
High level understanding of XML documents, syntax and validations.
Knowledge of the W3C XML Schema (XSD) specifications.
