Job Description Office Manager
Responsibilities:
o Capable, experienced, independent, self-motivated, responsible person o Very busy office, multi-tasking required, must be articulate with a wide variety of people o Must be computer proficient and possess general office skills o Answers all incoming calls and is usually the first contact for referral sources and patients.
Makes determination of required action.
o Takes service orders from physicians or other referral sources; places the order internally.
o Coordinates new patient delivery schedule with the service area.
o Process patient information where accuracy and timely processing is most important.
o Verifies insurance coverage and advises collections department of required actions for billing.
o Maintains copy of current patient files and files on referral sources.
o Medical record scanning o Responds to new and existing patients' requests.
o Handles mail for the center including responding to requests for information from internal sources when possible.
o Must be knowledgeable of existing and new information regarding equipment and insurance carrier policies o Complete equipment orientation check list for new equipment and other necessary paperwork as required for new patient setup.
Instructing patient in the safe and proper use of equipmento Perform minor equipment repairs and preventive maintenance on equipmento Performs equipment setups in a timely and professional manner.
Generally responsible for the setup of CPAP units, nebulizers, and some O2 equipment.
o Maintains current knowledge of respiratory home care techniques and relevant respiratory therapy conceptso Represents company through professional personal appearance, patient care activities and referral source interaction.
o Assurance of clean paperwork before information is sent to reimbursement offices for billing and collection activities.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
