Systems Analyst

Position Summary
The Systems Analyst develops technical systems to solve business problems and has the ability to create and manage complex projects. This position requires a good level of knowledge for the credit union's business processes in order to build technical solutions that enhance our competitive advantage in the marketplace. This is a cross-functional role that works directly with project stakeholders to identify requirements and constraints, estimate timeframes, design programs, and create or modify database components as needed. This role also communicates programs and projects to other team members and presents to project stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develops ability to perform operations of department processes and monitoring of systems, and assists when necessary with a wide range of operations that the department performs.
Performs implementation and development of system enhancements and fixes.
Designs technical solutions to facilitate new or updated business products.
Constructs work plans and technical specifications to facilitate completion of the business solution ensuring conformance of the business requirements/expectations, regulations and industry best practices.
Provides time estimates to complete technical solutions.
Collaboratively works with other technical teams and with business units; work with third-party vendors to develop new systems to interface with the credit union's systems to deliver technical solutions.
Executes testing plans and tests applications to validate business requirements and compatibility with established systems and processes, and to ensure quality.
Develops implementation plans for systems set-up, which can include system parameters and batch job files schedules for processing.
Develops job schedules that maximize stability and efficient use of machines resources.
Creates documentation including workflows and procedures for business solutions; includes troubleshooting documentation.
Communicates project progress to project sponsors and management in project meetings and by making timely updates to the department's SharePoint site.
Provides technical support in accurately troubleshooting or researching support systems and software so that operational problems are resolved quickly without significant interruption to service.
Participates in development and compliance with the disaster recovery plans.
Assists when necessary with a wide range of operations that the department performs.
Keeps manager advised of any system problems or events that prevent ability to fulfill work requirements.
Participate in training activities within the department or branch and with the learning and talent development department; such training helps to ensure staff compliance with Credit Union policies and state and federal regulations and laws.
Perform other duties and assist other employees, as assigned.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
