CNC Machinist - Afternoons

Axis Engineering, a Tier One automotive supplier of progressive metal stamping, welding, and assemblies located in Dundee, Michigan and we have an excellent opportunity for a CNC Machinist on our 2nd shift. 2nd Shift starts at approximately 4 PM.

The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
Previous CNC experience
Programming and basic machine shop experience
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent attendance record and safety record
Willing to work to company' work schedule.

The responsibilities include, but are not exhaustive:
Set up, operate and trouble shoot
Perform 2D Programming
Understanding and using measurement tools and equipment for inspections, such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
Reading blue prints to determine dimensions and tolerance specifications.
Performing minor preventative maintenance and daily cleanup of machines and work areas.
Comparing recorded measurements to blueprint dimensions and tolerances and notify specified persons of discrepancies.
Make decisions and judgments about proper course of action for repair and maintenance.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
