Family Physician / Family Nurse Practitioner
JOB PURPOSE:
Performs advanced health care services.
Work involves conducting complete physicals, providing treatment, and counseling patients.
Requires knowledge of methods and procedures in the field of general medicing and of the principles of the development, implementation, and documentation of individualized care and treatment plans.
Must be skilled in the care and treatment of patients, in the use of medical diagnostic and treatment tools and equipment, and in the operation of computers and applicable computer software.
Requires ability to examine, diagnose, and treat physical disorders; to interpret laboratory analyses and x-rays.
Physician:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in medicine.
DEGREE AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED(IF APPLICABLE):
Must be licensed as a physician in the State of Texas.
Nurse Practitioner:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must have successfully completed a program in advanced studies as a Nurse Practitioner and be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner.
DEGREE AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED(IF APPLICABLE):
Current license as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Texas.
DEA license to dispense medication.
