Plant Operator
Airgas USA, LLC - Mid America, a leading distributor of industrial, medical, & specialty gases & welding supplies, is seeking a motivated individual to become a Plant Operator to join our team in Parkersburg, WV.
The Plant Operator is responsible for the following duties.
Other duties may be assigned.
o Load route trucks with customer shipments Operate and safely maintain equipment for pumping or repackaging gases into cylinders o Perform all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests before cylinders are released o Ensure cylinders are adequately maintained - cylinders requiring maintenance or repair are removed from service until corrected o Regularly inspect and maintain pumping apparatus and associated pressure gages and monitoring devices o Fill cylinders or containers to proper pressure or weight, whichever is appropriate o Ensure cylinder filling records are accurately maintained and that all required procedures are followed in order to comply with local, state and federal regulations o Conduct periodic checks of plant for safe and efficient operation o Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment o Maintain neat, clean and orderly plant appearance o Perform mathematical calculationsQualificationsQualifications EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school degree or the equivalent and one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
