Summary
Working in conjunction with other User Experience Design staff, Product Managers and the Product team and other stakeholders to gather and define UX requirements and contribute to product strategy. The User Experience Designer will be responsible for all analytical and design activities around the formation of software product solutions in terms of how end users interact with the technology.
Responsibilities
Creates and maintains artifacts needed to communicate design decisions and proposals, including flowcharts, wireframes, mockups/comps and interactive prototypes
In conjunction with the cross-functional product team define the UX and visual design for the product
Work closely with Product Owner to concept solutions and form design systems
Develop a deep understanding of brand standards and style guide and how to apply to the visual design
Creation and maintenance of Style Guides, Live Style Guides, annotated wireframes, prototypes, user flow diagrams, graphical assets, technical specs and other design documentation types
Creates Photoshop Mock-ups (visuals) based on wireframe documentation from the UX team
Design web, desktop, Mobile UI and reporting interfaces
Learn about new technologies and products
Build efficient and reusable design components and creative 's
Identify and communicate best practices for user experience design
Translate abstract concepts into simple and elegant user interfaces
Create concept models, user interface sketches, and detailed schematics
Work closely with engineers to ensure that product designs are being implemented to design specifications
Perform usability testing and user research including building user interface mockups and prototypes as needed
Qualifications
3
years' experience in user experience design, information architecture, visual design, web design
and development, service experience design, usability research, psychology
Has a vast, impressive portfolio of iOS mobile-based designs
Must be self-motivated to prioritize and manage work load and meet critical project milestones and
deadlines
Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentations skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision
Knowledge of information architecture and user experience design strongly desired
Deep knowledge of design principles and methods, innovation, and ideation tools
Clear understanding of digital trends and technology landscape
Expertise in creative software packages like Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe CS, etc.
Willingness to listen to constructive criticism and make changes according to feedback
Solid understanding of user experience and interaction design - how to craft an interaction that will
intuitively lead a user through a flow
Masters at least one design communication tool such as Visio, OmniGraffle, Google Drawing,
Balsamiq
Direct experience with Agile/XP/Scrum/Lean software development practices
Have an artistic flare and is passionate about simplifying human-to-machine interactions
Able to develop simple and elegant design approaches to complex design problems
Knowledge in CSS and HTML or technical knowledge a plus
