QUALITY ASSURANCE SUPERVISOR
The Quality Assurance Supervisor will be responsible for routine segments of the of the quality assurance functions. The supervisor will responsible for the training of techniques and procedures for inspecting and testing customer products, research on product defects for modifications in products and / or quality standards based on research and customer complaints. May also include responsibility for actual inspection and testing operations.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
oSupervise the department for performance of product and packaging evaluations
oEnsure results of inspections and analysis are accurate
oEnsure department, company, customer, and regulatory guidelines are met
oEnsure customer requirements for obtaining line analysis reports and line samples are met
oCommunicate and coordinate with the manufacturing departments to uphold a proactive team
oAssure equipment and reagents are being calibrated and labeled
oEstablish sampling plans in the various steps of the following ingredient and packaging receiving, blending and thermal processing if there is indication that product quality or safety may be jeopardized
oTroubleshoot and identify causes of quality deviations and provide recommendations for corrective and preventative measures
oPerform GMP, HACCP, and Sanitation Inspections

oCollaborate with QA Managers regular
oMonitor Incoming Inspection Program and provide assistance with tagging of ingredients
oWork with the QA Managers to understand product formulation and creating blend sheets
oInvestigate non-conforming product with 24 hours, provide information to QA Manager
oReview QA paperwork and charts daily and follow-up with any issues
oOversee the pH control program
oPerform weekly verification/calibration of scales, technician thermometers, refractions, water baths, and pH meters
oWeekly air samples and bottle samples for microbiology
oHRCS samples for microbiology
oObserve and verify QA technicians and NCB blenders are performing analytical test appropriately
oEnsure the QA technicians and NCB blenders are trained annually on analytical test
oPerform GMP inspections, enforce safety GMP and Food Safety standards
oEnsure qualification and commission runs are followed per the customer's specifications.

oAbility to interact with all levels of management
oDetailed oriented, analytical, and organizations skills
oFamiliarity with ISO, SPC, and Process Improvement concepts
oStrong PC systems and software applications skills
oAbility to handle multiple concurrent tasks with various deadlines
oHighly motivated, energetic, and interpersonal skills
oFull understanding of ISO22000/TS22002 standard

Education and
Experience:
oBachelor's Degree (courses in food science)
oCertified in Microbiology
oCertified as an Incoming Ingredient Inspector
o3 years in QA / Supervisory
oKnowledgeable in pasteurization/thermal process system, HACCP programs, and GMP policies
oBilingual Spanish in a PLUS
