Videographer

Career Connections is looking for a Videographer for a growing company in Athens, Ohio. The videographer will be responsible for the bulk of technical tasks related to video production and post-production. Duties including setting up lights, staging, set preparation, and equipment operation, along with post-production duties such as editing. The videographer will work closely with clients and the creative team to execute a concept through to completion.
This is a full-time, temporary-to-direct opportunity hiring ASAP, though they'll consider direct-hire for the right candidate. The schedule will be Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., though there will be occasional evening or weekend hours as needed per project. The wage is commensurate with experience but in the range of $28-34K/year. Upon permanent hire, this company offers comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and disability.
To qualify for this position, candidates must have prior work experience in a related field and understand the technical components of lighting, shooting, camera placement, audio needs, and editing. An associates degree or higher preferred, with working knowledge of Final Cut Pro and Adobe expected. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to establish and maintain effective working relations. Those able to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions will be prioritized.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
