Job Description
All selected responsibilities associated with Systems Administrator
Design and perform system management, configuration management, deep troubleshooting, preventative and corrective maintenance, performance monitoring and enhancement
Provide comprehensive Unix, Linux, or Windows systems Management
Coordinate tests of new hardware and software
Plan and define the requirements for off-hour systems maintenance work
Oversee Change management activities on the supported systems
Define and implement security controls and capabilities in operating systems, layered products, and specialty software to achieve security goals
Develop operations procedures, such as backups, recovery processes, and queue management
Install and configure Unix, Linux, or Windows systems
Assist business users and systems engineers with the setup, installation, and testing of their applications
Interface with users and systems engineers in order to resolve technical and user Problems
The System Administrator is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and implementing solutions to optimize the infrastructure operations.
Analyzes and identifies all or part of a program's existing or new computer (and/or server), peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs. Designs, implements, codes, tests, documents, and maintains systems integration solutions to total system or subsystems.
Establishes functional and technical specifications, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.
This position requires US Citizenship.

Qualifications:
BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Five or more years' experience managing and supporting Unix and Windows servers
Five or more years' experience configuring and managing storage sub-systems
Advanced knowledge of standard System Administration tools and practices
Knowledge of industry and government security standards and practices
Certification in System and/or Data Management vii. Strong Windows administration skills
Strong communication skills (written and oral

Required Skills:

years of experience directly related to Windows System Administration Windows 7/2008/2012 and Desktop support with increasing responsibilities administering client/server applications
Strong hardware/software troubleshooting skills
Experience in the following areas: Patch Management, Anti-Virus, Symantec Endpoint, Clustering, OS Upgrades, computer security and system monitoring and logging
After hours on call support averaging one week a month and ability to work overtime as needed
Willing and able to travel approximately 20% to off-site locations for installations and maintenance work on short notice as needed
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds in support of hardware installations.

Desired Skills:
Ensure successful planning, deployment, installation, and upgrades of products within required timelines and resource allocations over multiple geographic sites
Experience with desktop workstation collaboration products and protocols
Experience with VMware
Understanding of Storage Area Network concepts (SAN)
Proficiency with Enterprise level administration of common network services such as Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP and troubleshooting as well as Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Windows 2012/Windows 2008/Windows 7; HP hardware (i.e. server, workstations RAIDS, and thin clients); SQL Server; and Linux
Strong analytic and research skills - must be detail oriented
Experience supporting Atlassian development toolset (e.g. GIT, JIRA)
Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency
Requires the ability to effectively interact with external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and vendors
Communication and diplomatic skills a must; significant interaction with various segments of the program
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
