Product Certification Engineer / Chemist

Our Client currently has an opportunity for a Certification Engineer in their Plumbing Products Certification Laboratory.
The candidate will perform plumbing products certification projects to NSF 61 and NSF 372 Standards.
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or materials engineering, or other Engineering degree requiring both chemical and material analysis work.
o A minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience in evaluating, testing and certifying plumbing products (Valves, Faucets, and Coatings etc.
) to NSF 61 and NSF 372 Standards.
o Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IEC 17065.
o Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills.
o High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Business Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
o A broad knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and policies is necessary to ensure a safe working environment.
o Time management skills are helpful to maximize the progress of the analysis process and perform multiple tasks at the same time.
o A broad knowledge of mathematics and statistical analysis are necessary to perform calculations.
Job duties include:
o Prepare cost estimates, proposals, and contracts for clients and negotiate pricing and project delivery following established guidelines and procedures.
o Act as primary point of contact for all clients for projects assigned, responding to client requests as needed.
Ensure all project documentation is uploaded and maintained in the appropriate repository.
o Interface with clients, management team and other departments within the company on a regular basis to provide ongoing follow-up, status reporting, issue resolution and to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
o Manage and track projects using standard project management tools.
o Perform Pre-Test and Post Test Construction Evaluation for plumbing products.
Determine chemical tests that need to be performed.
Evaluate chemical analysis data against requirements in the NSF 61 and NSF 372 standards.
o Write Test and Certification Reports.
o Perform audits at client's facilities in USA and other Countries (15%) as needed (International Travel will be required).
o Maintain knowledge of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) that is required to complete job responsibilities.
o Support Quality Department and continuous improvement processo Communicate procedural and operational difficulties and delays to management.
o Assist other department personal as neededo Maintain laboratory instruments in working order and make any minor repairs that are necessary.
o Perform other related duties as needed.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
