Are you a leader in the areas of Safety and Industrial Hygiene? Do you like to work closely with a dynamic EHS&S team? Our client is looking for a Site Safety Leader to lead a small staff of professionals in the area of safety, industrial hygiene, and emergency response.

This is a full-time position paying $62,000-105,000 and offering a full benefits package including an incentive bonus, full medical/dental, 401K, tuition assistance, free health club, and professional advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities include:
Serve as the technical resource for safety and industrial hygiene
Ensure safety compliance with applicable OSHA and Corporate expectations
Maintain procedures
Coordination, review, and planning of appropriate training
Daily 'in the field' engagement with stakeholders
Participate in and lead committees, incident investigations, process hazard analysis, job safety analysis, risk assessments, and other EH&S activities
Improve and maintain the site Industrial Hygiene and Chemical Hygiene programs including scheduling and performing IH sampling
Oversee IH aspects and approvals of new chemicals
Assist in the IH assessment of new products
Oversee the SDS and GHS programs
Maintain the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) including annual submissions and re-certification audits
Review and approve safety aspects of management of change requests
Participate in the Emergency Response program
Lead various aspects of implementation of the plant's EHS management system
Participate in cross-functional improvement teams (Operations, Corporate, other SABIC sites, etc.)

The ideal candidate must have the following:
BS in EHS/Engineering discipline or equivalent education and work experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in Safety Engineering/Management and Industrial Hygiene in a manufacturing environment
Strong communication and influencing skills; excellent personal organization
Experience with OSHA VPP and PSM
Experience leading small teams of EHS professionals
Experience interacting with regulatory agencies
Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States

Preferred
CIH or CSP
