Network and System Engineer

Position Purpose: Responsible for day to day network and systems administration tasks for all production systems and networks. This includes design, development, implementation and stability of all network and server HW/SW. This person will respond to and resolve production issues in a timely manner. Act as a technical resource for other IT support specialists.
Troubleshoots, resolves, and documents escalated support calls as related to the LAN, WAN, and Production Systems
Performs troubleshooting and diagnosis assistance of server and network infrastructure; coordinates resolution with other team members
Design, build and/or test new systems, processes or services. Configures and deploys equipment in accordance with project implementation plan
Utilizes network management tools for event monitoring and fault isolation
Performs activities required for timely completion of IT projects (e.g. installation, configuration, testing, status meetings, etc.)
Schedules and performs monthly HW/SW installation and upgrades
Document workflow of IT processes and specific projects within the organization.
Identify training needs, perform new user IT training and communication of IT Policies and standards
Act as a technical resource for other IT Support Specialists
Qualifications:
Education/
Experience: Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field or equivalent experience. 4
years of related experience. Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within network/system support.
License/Certificates: Microsoft Certifications, Cisco Certification CCNP or CCIE Employee Status: Regular Job Level: Staff Job Type: RegularEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
