Structural Engineering Associate

Applying knowledge of basic building codes, such as IBC, ASCE, AISC and ACI, assist with drafting of designs for wood, steel, masonry and concrete structures using AutoCAD software under direct supervision of licensed structural engineers. Complete and review design calculations. Assist with preparation of cost estimates. Conduct field investigations. Liaise with architects and other professionals to assist with design tasks and coordinate construction schedules.
Bachelors in Civil Engineering (or foreign equivalent degree). Must have passed the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam in Civil Engineering in Massachusetts. Must demonstrate proficiency with AutoCAD software at an advanced level. Valid class D Massachusetts drivers license required. Travel required 2-3 times per week to visit construction sites and perform field work at unanticipated locations throughout Massachusetts.
