MTS III Software Engineer

Debug software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. Develop, modify, and execute software test plans, automated scripts (PHP, Javascript, Bash and Csh) and programs for testing. Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyze and write test standards and procedures, and then analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action against discrepancies and anomalies found in software. Integrate system software components while working on software dependencies to ensure customer requirements are met. Perform review of system technical diagrams/schematics to ensure system wiring standards compliance. Perform review of program requirements documentation to ensure project scope is covered and requirements are achievable. Evaluate software components for applicable changes/fixes and for interdependencies between software components. Generate system configuration database against hardware, wiring configuration, functional requirements and based on software being used to develop system exclusive to airlines configuration. Evaluate media and content integrity and coordinate with responsible third party and internal groups to acquire necessary media and content for comprehensive testing. Provide status of on-going test efforts and issues found to upper and executive management while serving as a point of contact for both internal and external customers for technical questions and concerns. Domestic and international travel may be required.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering followed by five (5) years of progressive experience in the specialty field. OR IN THE ALTERNATIVE TO ALL THE JOB REQUIREMENTS SET FORTH ABOVE, THE EMPLOYER WILL ACCEPT Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering and three (3) years of experience in software/system engineering development.
