Summary:
Under the direction of the Controller, this individual will be responsible for performing inventory control, inventory accounting, and cost accounting duties and related analyses requiring the application of generally accepted accounting principles and practices. This position is also responsible for ensuring that proper inventory practices are implemented and observed company wide.
Responsibilities:
Partner with production teams on inventory costing processes and inputs
Maintain the accuracy of inventory costs (purchased and manufactured) and ensure that all inventory reporting requirements are satisfied
Monitor all transactions involving inventory to ensure the perpetual inventory records are maintained
Manage and reconcile quarterly physical inventory counts
Must review and analyze inventory reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to costs analyses
Assist manufacturing with costed BOMs; ensure BOMs are accurately maintained in ERP system
Identify and research all cost variances (inventory and COGS)
Labor, Material, and Overhead allocations
Manages preparation and execution of standard cost roll
Responsible for Fixed Assets, depreciation and monthly reconciliations
Back up Controller for sales/revenue entries and other general accounting functions
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, CPA/CMA preferred, APICS certification or equivalent preferred

years of total relevant inventory and general ledger accounting experience
Substantive prior inventory control and cost accounting experience in a high-tech manufacturing company
Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of large ERP systems, Great Plains preferred
Strong communication skills and experience interfacing with engineering, production/ manufacturing, purchasing, and sales
Will direct and lead the work of others in cross-organizational activities
Must submit to criminal background checkEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
