Registered Nurse (PACT/HDPC)

The West Texas VA Health Care System is currently accepting applications for the position of Registered Nurse Patient Aligned Care Team/Health Promotion Disease Prevention (PACT/HDPC).
The RN in this position will demonstrate proficiency using the nursing process in providing care for patients with complex nursing care needs.
Guides and directs other who provide care.
Provides leadership in identifying and addressing ethical issues that impact patients and staff, including initiating and participating in ethics consultation.
Delegates care in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
Assists clients in identifying and securing appropriate services.
Implements an ongoing educational plan to support own professional development.
Conducts self-assessment of performance and identifies own learning needs.
Refers to, consults with, and make provision for continuity of care with other health care providers.
Provides feedback regarding the practice of others to improve client care.
Participates in established quality improvement studies and/or activities.
Uses a body of research to validate and/or change own professional practice.

Monday through Friday and may vary depending on the hiring facility.
A RECRUITMENT/RELOCATION INCENTIVE IS AUTHORIZED (This is not moving expenses.
If incentive is approved, it comes with a 2 year service agreement and is not paid out until incumbent is employed by facility).
Salary will be determined by the Nurse Professional Standards Board based on experience and education at the Nurse I - Nurse III grade level.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
