Housekeeping Aid
This position is located in the Environmental Management Service of the Lake City VA Medical Center in Lake City, Florida.
The person in this position performs a range of Housekeeping duties within the Medical Center and may be rotated through or assigned to any of the approved tours of duty.
The person in this position must possess good customer service skills while interacting with patients and other hospital staff.
The incumbent is responsible for maintaining assigned areas in a sanitary manner by adhering to current service procedures and policies and area work schedules.
The incumbent is also responsible for proper use of a variety of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
The incumbent must also have the physical ability to handle and control heavy powered equipment and do minor maintenance on this equipment.
Housekeeping Aids carry out assignments with a minimum of supervision.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
