Medical Support Assistant (Lead)

THIS IS A TERM POSITION NOT TO EXCEED 2 YEARS, BUT MAY BE EXTENDED UP TO 4 YEARS.
DUTY LOCATION IS AUGUSTA, ME.
The Lead MSA works collaboratively to provide program assistance to the GEC Administrative Officer and Service Line Manager in support of Home Based Primary Care and Geriatrics and Extended Care administrative functions.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Oversees the day to day work of the service Medical Support Assistants to ensure the work assignments of the team are carried out.
- Utilize a variety of coordinating, coaching, facilitating, consensus-building and planning techniques to assure the work of the HBPC administrative team is carried out.
- Ensure that the organizations strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the teams strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services; - Articulate and communicate to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion; - Lead the team in:
identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization; making adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks; and ensuring that each employee has an integral role in developing the final team product; - Report to the supervisor periodically on team and individual work accomplishments, problems, progress in mastering tasks and work processes, and individual and team training needs.
- Works with the HBPC Director to coordinate activities within the scope of the HBPC program.
This includes independently performing administrative management in maintaining, tracking and applying policies relevant to the HBPC program, providing guidance on requirements, maintaining administrative systems and preparing administrative paperwork.
- Manages data collection activities and develops methods for the collection and retrieval of information from established systems to enhance analysis of program related data.
- Independently plans, researches, and implements special projects and conducts special audits for the HBPC Director, GEC Service Line Manager and GEC Administrative Officer.
Conducts program assessments and prepares reports necessary to program continuity and reporting.
- Reviews established guidelines and data to evaluate workflow procedures and processes in order to identify alternative solutions such as revising procedures, redesigning office space, or using new equipment.
Incumbent provides reports to higher level employees that describe the problems, possible causes, and alternative solutions.
Works under deadlines to assist in the completion of station reports and tasking assigned to the Service Line.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
