The Senior Scientist position will be a part of the Method Development Department within Molecular and Analytical Development (MAD) under the Biologics Development organization.
This position will be located at the BMS Hopewell, NJ site.
The Senior Scientist will have the opportunity to represent Analytical Method Development function in clinical development programs.
The Senior Scientist position will help formulate and drive analytical strategy decisions for the implementation of robust ELISA based bioanalytical techniques for the measurement of impurities in monoclonal antibodies and recombinant Proteins, supporting method development, GMP testing for drug substance product release, as well as the transfer, validation and life-cycle management of methods and their critical reagents.
The role calls for overseeing GMP testing and validation activities, leading troubleshooting activities, and close collaboration with stake holders in partner organizations.
This position reports to the Group Leader, Impurities, Method Development Department, within BMS' Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS) division.
Qualifications Qualifications PhD in biochemistry, analytical chemistry or equivalent field with 4
years of relevant industry experience or Master's degree with 8 - 10 years of relevant industry experience Working knowledge and hands on experience in developing robust analytical methods for process impurities in Drug Substance, and in the characterization, qualification and life-cycle management of critical reagents Experienced in document preparation of CMC sections to support IND and BLA.
History of rigorous technical accomplishments Background in the validation and life-cycle managemen tof methods and their critical reagents Hands on experience in testing and documentation requirements to meet GxP/GMP compliance and guidelines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal are required.
