30pm This position is located at the Norwich Vet Center, Norwich, CT.
The incumbent serves as a Medical Support Assistant (MSA) who suppoprts Vet Center programs by providing various clerical and administrative services for the Vet Center.
The incumbent in this position has no access to the Veteran's medical records at the VAMC, has no direct medical patient care with the combat Veterans that are seen in the Vet Center.
The MSA will serve as the initial primary contact for combat Veterans, the families of combat Veterans and other eligible Veterans requesting Vet Center services.
The MSA also provides support to the Vet Center Team Leader and counseling staff as needed.
Duties:
Receives, greets and refers visitors, combat Veterans and their family members;Directs telephone calls to appropriate staff;Explains Vet Center procedures and eligibility requirements to individuals inquiring about Vet Center Services;Assists the Team Leader and Vet Center staff by gathering materials requested;Responds clearly to routine inquiries or questions about Vet Center services;Performs a wide variety of administrative tasks and all other duties as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
