SENIOR RESEARCH INVESTIGATOR - NGS / PROTEOMICS

The successful candidate will join a team of Ph.
D.
Bioinformatics software developer scientists whose primary roles are hands ondata integration of genomics data, analysis and visualization of diverse biologicaland chemical data sets.
This position will be responsible for developing andmaintaining workflows and pipelines for the analysis of various NGS data typesand proteomics data.
This role requires direct involvement in the design andimplementation of new platforms, tools and analytic methods and leveraging theresources within the group to address the needs listed above.

years of experience or a Ph.
D and 1
year ofexperience in the fields of Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, ComputationalBiology, Bioinformatics or related disciplines is required.
Proven track record of developing bioinformatics tools andworking experience of common bioinformatics data analysis and next generationsequencing (NGS QC, chip sequencing, variant calling, RNAseq)Extensive experience authoring software in one or more serverside programming languages (Perl, Python, Java, C++, etc.
) is required.
Intimate knowledge of Linux or Unix is essential.
Good communicationskills are critical.
Knowledge of dynamic web programming (Javascript) and serviceoriented design is a plus.
Knowledge of relational database systems (Oracle,Postgresql, Mysql) and statistically oriented languages (R, Matlab) is highlydesirable.
Previous experience in one of the following disease biologyareas is desirable:
oncology, immunology, immune-oncology, heart failure,fibrosis or genetic diseases.
A solid understanding of biological systems and the drug developmentprocess is desirable.
