Mechanical Engineer
POSITION SUMMARY
Perform engineering duties in planning and designing tools, assembly machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. Oversee build, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of tooling & equipment.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
o Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
o Develop concept. design, build, test and maintain stamping (progressive and transfer press) and assembly tools using Solid Works.
o Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, tools, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements.
o Recommend design modifications to eliminate tool, machine or system malfunctions.
o Develop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs.
o Specify components and modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
o Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, or other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, or maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
o Write performance requirements for product development or engineering projects.
o Provide technical customer service.
o Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering projects, and prepare contract documents.
o Establish procedures, service schedule, or supply of materials required to maintain tools, machines or equipment.
o Design test equipment and develop procedures for testing products.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
2 plus years of experience in Mechanical Engineering
Other Requirements:
Design, build, test and maintain stamping (progressive & transfer press) and assembly tools. Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
