REGISTERED NURSE- OR- SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY
Provides professional nursing care to patients in the operating room, utilizing established policies and procedures, ensuring safe and effective care. Care is provided based on ages of the population served; Infant through geriatric - 65 years or older. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team. Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to identify and meet the individualized needs of all patients served in the operating room. Performs scrub nurse duties at a basic level for each surgical specialty. Functions as a circulating nurse, assisting the surgical team during procedures, accurately and according to policy, performs surgical counts with scrub personnel. Prepares the OR for cases, assists in room turnover.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
Completion of an accredited Nursing program
Current California RN license or ability to obtain prior to hire date
Current CPR/BLS certification by the American Heart Association (BLS for the Healthcare Provider) or ability to obtain prior to start date
ACLS Certification Preferred, CNOR preferred.
Minimum Experience
Previous OR experience highly preferred
Sufficient computer skills as are required to complete an online application and the pre-employment/annual computer requirements
In compliance with patient safety standards, must be able to effectively communicate in English; Bilingual abilities preferred
