Litigation Consultant

Mary Kraft Staffing is partnering with a reputable Insurance company in Lake Mary, Florida to place a full time Litigation Consultant. This is a direct hire opportunity. The litigation consultant will be responsible for addressing cases involving a legal inquiry or dispute and developing a strategy to bring a case to a satisfactory resolution.
Salary range is 65-70 k
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Reviews/acts on reports/forms; responds to inquiries; seeks legal opinion and early resolution; and communicates resolution to appropriate parties.
Responds to decisions, agreement, and/or court order; creates action plan; determines need for examination; gains client authorization.
Identifies cases for settlements/redemptions.
Gathers/documents additional information and coordinates with client designees.
Requests legal/private investigation; assigns to and coordinates with local counsel; monitors local counsel performance.
Responds to plaintiff's counsel, union, employee, or client requests.
Identifies issues; formulates defense strategy.
Establishes/adjusts accrued liability.
Approves administrative expenses.
Identifies subrogation opportunities and manages process.
Attends mediations or hearings as needed.
Works with partners to effect early return-to-work.
Requirements
5 years of high exposure claims experience with a very strong Worker's Compensation background
Must have strong Worker's Compensation background (not disability or liability claims)
Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Legal experience preferred
Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
Analytical and interpretive skills
Strong organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent negotiation skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to meet or exceed Performance CompetenciesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
