Abilitations Children's Therapy is a private outpatient clinic that provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy services for children birth to 21. We have a full-time front office medical reception position available and are looking for a motivated and energetic individual to join our practice.
Medical Receptionist Job Description
Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays.
Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
Answering phones, screening calls and taking messages
Scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial/medical insurance information; recording and collecting patient charges; handling medical insurance co-payments
Maintains patient records by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
Calling insurance companies for plan benefits
Handling incoming and outgoing mail and faxes
Supporting office security by monitoring incoming and outgoing visitors
Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs.
Experience in computer software, such as spreadsheets, word processing and other programs relevant to the medical practice, is necessary for performing the required tasks.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
