Hotel Custodian

Hotel Custodians work part time and provide janitorial and light maintenance support by ensuring that the premises are clean and tidy at all times.
They prepare rooms for guests and ensure that public spaces, stairwells, outdoor public spaces are clean and safe.
These employees clean the lobby, public restroom, and assist housekeeping staff and the maintenance tech in preparing Move Outs to be rent ready.
Custodians usually need to work over the weekends and some holidays therefore they require a flexible schedule.
Custodians should have a basic understanding of routine maintenance:
painting, wall repair, basic carpentry.
Specific Duties include:
Clean and maintain common areas within the hotel Shovel snow in walkways and emergency exits Minor maintenance issues Assist guests in moving-n or out as directed by the general manager Keeps store rooms in clean, safe and organized condition at all times Assist housekeeping staff with laundry removal and Move Out cleans Clean and maintain lobby, entrance doors including snow removal Assist guests with general questions and enquiries Assist Front Desk during busy periods Be able to supply the guest with all information that they need to be able to enjoy their stay Any other reasonable request made by general manager The Custodian is provided a rent free furnished studio, free utilities including cable TV, free local phone, and internet.
While on call they are not paid and are free to do what they wish but must carry a portable phone, pager, or cell phone, so guests can reach them.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
