Veterinary Technician
Bartram Trail Veterinary Hospital is seeking veterinary technician for FT position. High-school degree required; competence in the English language, patience, and pleasant manner a must. Experience in the veterinary field preferred.
Veterinary technicians must build positive, professional relationships with clients and staff members. Technicians should have completed their high school diplomas and should expect to pursue significant on-the-job training. They should expect to spend nearly all of their workdays in the hospital.
They must be able to:
successfully restrain animals for physical exams and other medical procedures
complete clinical laboratory tests
position patients for and perform radiographs
monitor animals under anesthesia
assist in surgery
administer and dispense medications
perform dental radiographs and cleanings
deliver compassionate nursing and comfort care.
Regular weekday off and Saturday half-day schedule. Benefits after 90-day probationary period include pet care, paid holidays, personal time-off and uniforms.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
