Heartland Payment Systems, Jeffersonville, IN, is looking for qualified candidates to work as a full time Campus Security Officer.
This role is an essential part of the Heartland Payment Systems , Jeffersonville campus, helping provide a safe and secure environment for all employees and guests.
Campus Security Officer will be responsible for guarding Heartlands' employees, guests and property against personal assaults, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry of persons by performing assigned duties outlined below.
This is a 2nd shift position with the hours of 2:
00pm - 10:
30pm.
Responsibilities:
Conduct proactive patrol of all campus property on foot.
Enforce parking regulations, and performing appropriate actions as required by violations, according to campus policy.
Completing incident reports in accordance with campus policy and procedures.
Respond to calls from employees and guests for assistance.
Ensure the campus facilities are locked and unlocked in accordance with standard operation procedures.
Escort employees, and guests as requested to and from buildings.
Investigation of unusual or suspicious activity on campus grounds.
Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehends, expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts and notifies authorities as required.
Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual circumstances.
Keep abreast of weather situations.
During winter months, keep walking areas cleared and salted, and making sure all necessary equipment is stocked for snow/ice removal.
Ability to operate all firefighting equipment, short wave radios, and is certified to administer First Aid, CPR and Defibrillator machines as necessary.
Qualifications:
2-3 years in security, military and/or law enforcementPossess positive interpersonal communication skills.
Attitude must be proactive, customer service oriented with a systems thinking approach.
Creativity and positive learning skills are important.
Possess an understanding to the customer service/community policing law enforcement model as it relates to an campus setting.
Ability to respond professionally to inquiries, concerns and complaints from various constituencies of the campus.
Ability to provide positive leadership.
Accept and support Heartland Payment Systems guiding policies and procedures.
Able to pass mandatory drug screening and background check done by Heartland Payment Systems.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of shift.
Possess effective report writing skills using computer software program.
Computer literate in Windows Office environment.
Clear and persuasive in all situations, and is able to ask appropriate questions for information gathering.
Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; willingness to make decisions accordingly.
Ability to work across all shifts; all hours & holidays if needed.
Able and willing to become CPR & First Aid Certified to assist in any emergency situation on campus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
