Phlebotomist for Community Blood Drives

Come bring your interest in community health and customer service skills to support the life saving mission of the American Red Cross Blood Services!Based out of Central Ohio Region, in the Athens County/Central Ohio area we are looking to add staff to our mobile blood drive team.
This position will be working with our volunteer blood donors to collect the needed blood to help community hospitals save lives.
12 week, full time training (Monday - Friday) in Columbus, OH is required.
We provide paid training!Valid Driver License is required.
Phlebotomy or medical field experience is preferred, but not required.
Key performance objectives include:
o Balance production, donor care & quality requirements to meet daily blood collection goalso Take the time to personally connect with donors - listen to their stories and help them understand the value of their donationo Be detail oriented all day, every day to ensure that the blood you collect meets regulatory requirements and can be safely transfusedo Stay flexible to work a highly variable schedule that includes early start times, late end times, and weekends & holidays to meet the needs of our blood drive sponsors and donors.
o Take care of your team members - show up for every shift and give 100% while you're here.
o Contribute to a friendly and fun environment for donors and co-workers alike - give them a reason to come back for more.
o Be a model of professionalism and compassion while serving as an ambassador to the public for the nation's largest not-for-profit blood banking organization.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Medical assistant or phlebotomy training preferred.
Documented satisfactory performance as Collections Technician I or the equivalent experience is required.
Customer service experience, effective verbal communication, and public relations skills are required.
A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
Basic computer skills desirable.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
