Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer - Mayser Polymer USA, Inc.
Reports to:
Manager, Quality Manager

Key job tasks:
o Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning for new projects and engineering changes.
o Interface with customers to establish quality requirements for new projects or engineering
changes, communicate those agreed upon requirements internally and follow through to
ensure they are implemented.
o Review and Approve supplier PPAPs according to customer requirements.
o Communicate launch requirements to suppliers and Track progress of those
requirements.
o Schedule, Track, Conduct and Document supplier audits.
o Provide technical support to customers on related issues during start-up launch activities.
o Work with program management, engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to resolve
quality issues and provide technical support where necessary.
o Initiate supplier complaints and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
o Develop DVPRs with support from engineering.
o Interface with Mayser Germany's quality and program management personnel.
o Generate control plans, PFMEA's, inspection and work instructions with program and
manufacturing team's support.
o Evaluate, Document, and Respond to customer warranty complaints.
o Conduct and Document internal audits.
o Any other task pertaining to the job as may be assigned by Management.

Qualifications
Basic required:
o Proficient in reading drawings and interpretation of part measurements.
o Demonstrate thorough knowledge of GD&T Principles and gage design and function.
o Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Statistical Quality Control.
o Demonstrate knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes, procedures, facilities and
equipment.
o Demonstrate expertise in problem solving and applying sound technical judgement to develop
possible solutions.
o Highly proficient written and oral communication skills.
o Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
o Must be able to lead, motivate and facilitate others in a group situation and instruct others in
new techniques. Must function well as an active part of a Team.
o Very high level of analytical ability to assess and identify appropriate alternate alternative
courses of action for definition and resolution where problems are complex.
o College degree or equivalent training or quality engineering experience.
o Travel as required to Supplier locations, some overseas travel may be required.

Preferred
Qualifications:
o Minimum 5 years experience in Manufacturing, Quality or Engineering including experience in
implementing Advanced Product Quality Planning processes.
o Demonstrated knowledge of various OEM Customer Quality Requirements, as well as thorough
knowledge of AIAG requirements.
o Educational background in Engineering with course work in statistics and probability.
o Familiar with the requirements of ISO/TS: 16949 and ISO 14001, as amended.
o Familiar with the requirements of VDA.(optional)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
