Summary:
This role provides operational and project support to the Information Services team and is responsible for data center infrastructure and operations in a mission-critical, 24x7 environment. This role acts as the primary subject matter expert for technology initiatives as well as an escalation for technology operations issues. The person filling this role needs to be innovative, proactive, diligent and have the ability to multi-task in a high-volume, highly-regulated environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
We are looking for a senior person who is a T - this person has depth in 2-3 IT key infrastructure areas and breadth in a lot more. Someone who has designed & built IT infrastructure solutions for medium-sized enterprises (2000
employees or 500
production servers).
Key infrastructure areas we are interested in are (in priority order). The candidate needs to be strong designing and building solutions in 2-3 of these areas.
Storage array networks (fiber channel).
Hypervisors (VMware).
Database servers (Microsoft SQL).
Networks.
Active Directory.
Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop.
Other system applications (Microsoft Exchange, Lync).
IT operations: Infrastructure monitoring, performance tuning and availability.
EDUCATION:
BS Degree in Computer Science preferred or equivalent work experience.
EXPERIENCE / TRAINING:
Minimum 5 years of proven hands-on experience deploying, administering and maintaining enterprise-class infrastructure servers and storage systems in a complex, highly-available, highly-regulated, operations group consisting of multiple data centers.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Preferred: VCP, MCSE, MCDBA, ITIL v3 Foundation.
DEPARTMENT / UNIT-SPECIFIC SKILLS:
Strong coordination, organization, team and communication abilities.
Works well individually or in a group setting.
Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
Depth of knowledge administering at least two of the following: Storage, servers, virtualization (desktop or server), databases, Citrix, Active Directory.
