POSITION: Director Supply Chain

LOCATION: North-Central PA

Responsibilities:
The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for the development and execution of a supply chain strategy that will meet the changing demands our client's businesses in a cost-efficient manner. Establish and manage key business processes and procedures to ensure efficient, repeatable, accurate manufacture, distribution, and warehousing that serve our retail and healthcare customers worldwide. This includes Customer Service, Warehousing, Logistics, Demand Planning, Network Design and Master Data Management.
Direct the development of the sales forecast, inventory strategy, inventory deployment and Sales & Operations Planning activities in a way that minimizes inventory while maximizing service and production efficiencies.
Establish Top-to-Top relationships with key retailer Supply Chain Leaders aligning business metrics, data interchange and performance improvement activities
Lead the development of a distribution network design strategy to assure First Quality has the correct amount of warehouse space in the right location logistically to support continued sales growth, excellent service and cost optimization.
Manages customer service team to consistently and cost effectively meet customers' expectations. Develop and implement service performance metrics. Work closely with Sales to use supply chain synergies & strengths as a competitive advantage.
Manage carrier selection, commercial relationship, rate negotiations, carrier performance, freight cost budgeting & cost management for inbound, interplant & outbound transportation.
Work with the site operational leaders with dotted line to warehouse managers to optimize warehouse layout, utilization, work processes, technology, capital project's and labor standards. Develop and implement standard set of warehouse utilization and labor performance metrics.
Work with technical partners to achieve world-class productivity and accuracy through state of the art systems and processes (internal IT project management teams, vendors, etc.)
Be a formal member of all business unit teams to help lead and ensure cross- functional alignment in support of company's goals and initiatives. Participate in regularly scheduled leadership meetings.
Create several career paths for developing the well-rounded supply chain leaders required to support company's sustained growth.
Responsible for the development and application of technology across the supply chain.

REQUIREMENTS:
15
years of senior management supply chain experience.
Demonstrated ability of managing cost performance, supply/demand forecasting & distribution execution across a variety of product lines from multiple sources.
In depth knowledge of key supply chain/logistics processes & current best practices.
Strong analytical, financial & P&L skill required
Capacity to build relationships internally & externally.
Excellent communications skills and strong project management capabilities.
Track record of managing, developing and motivating teams.
University degree in Business or related field - APICS designation preferred.
Operations experience a plus.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
