Elevate Technology Solutions is currently accepting applications for a Network / Wireless Engineer to support our operations in Crystal City, VA.

The Network / Wireless Engineer will be responsible for the following:
The ideal candidate has a general working knowledge of computer and network fundamentals, including an understanding of networks and network security (e.g., routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention).
This position requires a proactive, self-starter candidate. The successful candidate will offer solutions to client challenges, and will work to drive project tasks forward.
Core network concepts (TCP/IP, Wireless Standards and Basic Network Routing).
Heterogeneous network environments (i.e., various wireless end-points - desktop and mobile).
Duties relevant to drafting and tracking system requirements, and delivering and executing test plans.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and metric based reporting.
Network perimeter security and virtual private networks
Network routing and switching design and concepts
Experience implementing IP networks
The Network / Wireless Engineer must have the following skills:
Knowledge of wireless network services and protocols (802.11a/b/g/n, 802.11ac, WEP, WPA, WPA-Enterprise, Wireless Device Enrollment and MGMT - NPE, CloudPath).
Experience using routing and switching protocols, and standards (e.g., LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, Spanning Tree, VLANs).
Experience with managing, upgrading, and administering switches, routers, firewalls, network taps and load balancers (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, NetScaler). This also includes performance monitoring, capacity planning, and trend analysis. Configuration experience including firewall rules, zone management, Access Control Lists, etc are is required.
Experience delivering network logical topology, rack elevations, and data workflows utilizing Microsoft Visio
The Network / Wireless Engineer must meet the following
Qualifications:
Secret Clearance
Minimum of 6 years of computer network experience, including network troubleshooting and triage experience.
Valid current Cisco CCNA or Network
certification can substitute for 1 year of experience.
Strong understanding of Networking OSI Model.
Experience in planning and executing network changes.
Motivated self- starter with proven documentation abilities (e.g., documentation of SOP's).
Ability to work with a team to plan, design and implement solutions? from initial concepts through pilot and hand-off.
Ability to evaluate competing ideas and analyze trade- offs.
Ability to handle cross-cutting duties.
Understanding of team dynamics.
Desire to stay up-to-date on technologies and best practices.
Good written and oral communications skills.
