Summary:
This position is responsible for helping coordinate and support HR, A/P and A/R functions as well as union/prevailing wage payroll reporting.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
o Review and reconcile and process certified payroll and distribute as required to requesting parties
o Work with Controller to ensure that we are compliant with all prevailing wage and union labor laws as they pertain to the Master Agreement including the appropriate wage rates and fringe benefits for payroll purposes
o Manage on-boarding & off-boarding documents for employees to ensure proper documentation is in place and in compliance with State and Federal guidelines.
o Enter new employee records into payroll system.
o Act as claims administrator for all companies and maintain proper documentation for any insurance related claims involving the companies
o Post and reconcile daily A/R batches
o Apply payments received from customers daily
o Point of contact for customer billing concerns
o Prepare monthly statements/Review for accuracy and distribute
o Review aged invoice report regularly discussing past due accounts with Controller
o Customer contact for credit collection as needed
o File Preliminary notices for all jobs as required
o Process conditional/unconditional releases as needed
o Process UCC filings as directed by Controller
o Complete the process of small claims court filings and represent the companies as needed.
o Back up accounting staff as needed
o Assist with month end closing
o Review payables weekly and ensure prompt payment is being processed.
o Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records
o Assist with other projects as needed/requested
Summary of Experience and Education
o Coursework in Business Administration, Accounting or related field of study
o 5 -7 years of practical work experience
o Experience in business related to the construction industry preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
o Comprehensive understanding of Certified payroll and payroll regulations
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills
o Understanding of regulatory requirements (GAAP, contract law, union requirements, etc.)
o Comprehensive knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office and related accounting software programs
o Ability to work with and support others in your departmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
