Mechanical Design Engineer
Performs activities concerned with the design, development and manufacture of state-of-the-art aircraft lighting systems with specific responsibility for structural/mechanical components associated with products for commercial and military aerospace applications.
Responsibilities:
Plans, directs and coordinates assigned technical projects from conception and proposal through the completion of qualification testing and successful introduction into service.
Project level Design Authority for mechanical technologies. Develop robust designs, that meet cost and schedule targets, are manufacturable, reliable, and maintainable by major aircraft operators.
Coordinates engineering analyses including structural and thermal FEA to validate designs
Directs the production of prototypes and mock-ups/Engineering Development Units and conducts or oversees verification/margin testing to validate designs.
Works within a multi-discipline team including engineers, designers, technicians, program management and production staff to optimize utilization of time and resources.
Interfaces with customers regarding mechanical requirements & specifications of lighting products.
BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or other comparable discipline. Comparable experience in lieu of degree may be considered. Ten years relevant experience in a high technology manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace
Exhibits comprehensive knowledge of mechanical design engineering principles, concepts, practices and theories.
Demonstrates original thinking and ingenuity to solve problems.
Must have experience with 3D modeling using Pro/E (Creo).
Experience with FEA techniques is a plus.
Knowledge of injection molded plastic part design and manufacturing is a significant desire.
The ability to work within product development teams, developing comprehensive product requirements (function, performance, reliability, cost, etc.), & designing products to satisfy these requirements.
The ability to coordinate with suppliers to produce prototype parts, & assure design cost/performance optimization.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, pursuing aggressive objectives.
Experience/Skill in electronic circuit packaging design and thermal management is a plus.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Ability to prepare proposals, & presentations for customers, in support of New Business Development.
Knowledge of Design for Six Sigma tools and processes is a plus.
CANDIDATES MUST BE OF U.S. CITIZEN/PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
