Responsibilities
Providing application administration support related to Software Configuration Management (SCM) with a focus on engineering and source control related technologies.
This includes 1st & 2nd-level support and the configuration of highly available engineering application services such as Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Mercurial, Klocwork and other SCM applications.
This position supports development to production life cycle environments including development, QA, staging and production.
The candidate will be expected to have a hands on role specifically with the JIRA platform as the corporate bug tracking system.
The candidate will also work with the SCM team to support other software development tools such as Mercurial, Bamboo, Confluence, Crowd, Fisheye/Crucible
Self-starter with strong communication skills.
3 years application administration experience recommended.
This is a hands-on technical position and will require the individual to support multiple projects in a fast paced software and software and technical life cycle.
Requires being able to work on 20 - 30
customer issues per day within a customer ticketing request system (JIRA) for managing day to day customer issues.
Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with key customers and team members.
Collaborate with software, infrastructure and other technical teams to ensure proper integration of the environment.
Display and execute logical troubleshooting methods.
Provide first level and some second level support of complex application issues.
Assist and advise users that span multiple departments, time zones, and technical levels.
Assist in scripting and automation.
Maintain detailed wiki pages for users and admins. Document procedures for maintenance and troubleshooting.
Assist SCM team with other tools such as Mercurial, Klocwork or Git.
Own and publish customer downtime and outage notifications.
Qualifications Required
Minimum of 2-3 years industry experience.
Enthusiastic self-starter, take initiative and able to work with minimal supervision
Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting ,and analytical skills
Very strong written, verbal communication and organization skills
Good inter-personal skills. Able to effectively collaborate with peers, customers, and management and work as a strong team player within a multi-site team.
Ability to handle multiple, complex technical projects simultaneously
Experience with scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, Perl or other scripting languages.
Strong experience of Windows Server operating systems SQL Server 2008 & 2012, and IIS. Linux is a plus.
Qualifications Preferred
Experience with programming languages like JAVA, C++/C#
Desired experience and knowledge in administering Atlassian tools set including Fisheye, Crucible, JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Crowd (Strongly preferred)
Experience with JIRA, Source Control tools, Tomcat and Apache.
Experienced with Active Directory, LDAP, multi domain enterprise environments.
Familiar with Mercurial, Git and Klocwork applications.
