Home Coach

The primary responsibilities of the Home Coach are ensuring a high quality of life for persons served;
assuring a well-trained and motivated teaching staff by providing training and consultation towards
certification and maintaining compliance with various state/federal regulations and adaptation of the
Teaching Family Model by directly supervising all family-teaching couples and day teaching counselors ofthe program locations to which the Coach is assigned. The Coach may also function as the
Qualified Mental Retardation Professional (QMRP) for specific assigned program locations by ensuring
and monitoring the active treatment within the program.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in psychology, human development or a related discipline required;
One-two years of prior experience in a position of similar scope;
Education and/or training in the areas of supervision and management;
The ability to effectively communicate through verbal and written mediums;
Knowledge of Mandt techniques and adaptation of the Teaching Family Model;
The ability to observe, ask questions, listen actively, and give and accept feedback effectively;
A high energy level, adaptability, assertiveness, patience and ability to work in a team environment;
Knowledge of computers, specifically and Word applications;
Ability to work autonomously;
Flexibility in assigned working hours;
Time management and follow-up skills with ability to plan, organize and prioritize a large workload;
and handle several tasks simultaneously;
Ability to carry a phone and be a part of a regular on-call schedule;
Operation of a motor vehicle is required which includes proof of a valid drivers license

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
