Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Key Responsibilities of the Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Manager:
o Compliance with recognized fundamental principles that pertain to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)
o Adherence to the values, beliefs and principles pertaining to EHS
o Integration of EHS processes into the production system of the plant
o Continuous improvement of the EHS system
o An updated, compliant Emergency Action Plan
o Develop and administer an updated, compliant annual EH&S Plan
o Maintain an effective system of environment, health, and safety (EHS) standard operation procedures
o Compliance with the various OSHA, EPA, PADEP and other regulations that pertain to the plant
o Partner with the Supervisors and Safety Coordinators to accomplish all required EHS programs, including but not limited to: Hazard Communication, PPE, Emergency Action Plans, Mobile Equipment, Cranes, Elevator, Confined Space, Hot Work, Asbestos, Hearing Conservation, LOTO, etc. and all associated training and Job Safety Analysis
o Ensure proper operation of all required environmental programs, including: air quality management, hazardous/residual/universal waste management (including waste minimization), storm water, etc.
o Ensure a compliant and fully documented process for environmental, health, and safety permit compliance (Title V, etc.)
o Ensure accurate and on-time submission of environmental reports - maintain the EHS calendar
o Ensure an effective EHS auditing and inspection process (AFP Internal Compliance Audit, Hazardous Waste, etc.)
o Ensure accurate generation and maintenance of all required records
o Ensure accurate sampling, testing, measurement and exposure assessment as necessary, including calibrations
o Ensure an effective ergonomics program meeting corporate requirements
o Chair the Plant Ergonomics committee
o Ensure injury and environmental incidents are fully investigated, reported and corrective action is completed
o Manage the contractor safety and health process
o Ensure that EHS information is available and communicated
o Be responsive to employee and community concerns regarding EHS issues
o Lead safety and housekeeping audits, monitoring and ensuring identified items are addressed
o Investigate injuries, ensure the employee receives necessary medical attention, initiate necessary corrective action, and follow up with employee and supervisor on corrective action
o Manage worker compensation claims and return to work program
o Serve as administrator to plant management helping conduct periodic shift safety team meetings
o Coordinate safety management process that includes safety training and orientation for new employees
o Coordinate and support plant safety projects and improvements requiring localized engineering support
o Coordinate the plants environmental sustainability efforts
Required Qualifications for the Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Manager:
o Bachelor's degree in an environmental / safety / engineering field, Engineering or Technical degree
o 5
years of experience in a manufacturing environment
o 2
years of experience with the workers compensation program
o Strong leadership skills
o Excellent oral and written communication skills
o Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel
o Must demonstrate skills in continuous improvement facilitation and change management
o Computer proficiency (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
o Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Desired Qualifications for the Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Manager:
o Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean and/or other process improvement methodologies desired

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
