Capabilities, Inc. is looking for a hard-working, energetic employee to support individuals with differing abilities in job placement. Capabilities employees also work with community employers to understand the value of hiring people with disabilities, accommodations that are possible, and matching business needs with people's skills.
1. In conjunction with the consumer, their family, applicable community members, applicable school or work personnel, the job developer conducts a comprehensive intake of the interests, skills, strengths, and support needs for all persons assigned using supplied Capabilities, Inc. documents, utilizing funding source supplied information and vocation goal. Documents this accurately on the Consumer Profile and other forms provided for intake.
2. Keep consumer choice of utmost importance.
3. Keeps owner(s) apprised of consumer's case.
4. Informs owner(s) of any contact with funding source representatives.
5. As appropriate, assists consumers with application completion and resume development using supplied documents as well as applications obtained from potential job site. If application skills are not developed and will not help consumer acquire job, developer or family members should fill out said applications after consultation with consumer.
6. May provide transportation to the consumer to and from the work site.
7. Develop a specific plan for development for each consumer, detailing this in the Consumer Profile and updating this as needed in the Job Developer Monthly Narrative Reports.
8. Is responsible for maintenance of acceptable standards related to CARF Accreditation, U.S. Department of Labor (Federal Wage and Hour Division) and other regulatory standards as appropriate.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
