iOS Developer
Essential Job Functions:
Individual will be responsible for programming new features and enhancements to mobile application software as defined by feature design staff and under the guidance of the application's implementation manager, act as the subject matter expert for the features/functions they develop and as key contributors to the design, test, debug and documentation processes.
This individual must have genuine enthusiasm and passion for technology, its application to solve business problems, and ensuring the application is the best it can be.
Primary
Responsibilities:
o Share responsibility in the design and architecture of features o Ensure that the proper infrastructure is in place for features o Analyze complexity and level of effort for features o Implement features based on specifications in the most vertical fashion (i.
e.
, UI, business rules, database access layers, external interfaces, and actual database scheme design) o Ensure overall quality of implementation and support features during testing/bug fixing phase of the software development lifecycle o Ensure overall quality of their code within the overall project o Supports and executes based on the direction set by their manager and within the timelines provided o Write and execute unit tests for features being implemented o Conduct / participate in code reviews as required o Participate in daily Scrums and in monthly Sprint reviews and planning meetings as required Skills:
o Expertise in the following technologies / programming languages (Objective C, Swift) o Comprehensive knowledge of the Xcode IDE o Solid communication skills, written and verbal o Effective communication with peers and ability to multitask and work in a team environment with a can-do attitude o Understanding of Agile software development and Scrum methodologies o Ability to learn new applications and technologies quickly o Ability to adhere to coding standards and conduct routine design and code reviews o Ability to debug and troubleshoot technology problems with speed and accuracy Qualities/Attributes of Software Developer:
o Motivated, hardworking, obsessive compulsive about the success of the project o Extremely technically competent and has a very deep understanding of current and future technologies o Is able to take into account adjacent subsystems and other impacted subsystems when changes to the code need to be done o A problem solver and expert who is sought after to resolve technical issues o Approachable by his/her teammates and works well with others o Passionate about their project and their job o Support direction set by manager and helps define it or re-define it when necessary o Passionate about learning new technology and figuring out how to apply it to their project o Always trying to push technology and innovation forward o Methodical in how code is implemented and how problems are solved
Experience:
o 2 - 4 years developing Mobile Software Applications Education:
o Minimum:
BS Degree in CS, Information Management/Technology, related field, or equivalent.
o Preferred:
MS Degree in CS, Information Management/Technology REQUIREMENTSEducation :
Experience :
2 - 5 years.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
