The Senior Engineer - SQL and Windows SME will be responsible for the following:
Successful candidate needs to be able to design and engineer complex requirements to existing customer infrastructure in a cost effective manner.
Candidate needs to be a subject matter expert and be able to articulate expertly solutions through written or verbal methods.
Be able to trouble shoot complex problems quickly and effectively.
The Senior Engineer - SQL and Windows SME must have the following skills:
Primary Skills
Microsoft SQL 2005, 2008, 2012 - must have
MS Server 2008 R2 / Server 2012 R2 - must have
Secondary Skills
IIS - Strongly preferred
Weblogic - desirable
Oracle DB infrastructure / RDMS versions 10g, 11g - desirable
Strong analytical skills; Able to assess and solve issues in a high-pressure environment.
Candidate must be able to engineer, design and document MS-SQL architecture.
Candidate must have engineering level proficiency with MS IIS
Strong communication skills : Oral and Written
Ability to present and factually support technical recommendations and system design documents to an astute technical audience.
Strong organizational skills; Must be able to multitask without sacrificing attention to details.
Able to work effectively with other groups and teams.
Must be able to come up to speed on new project areas quickly as this role will grow quickly
The Senior Engineer - SQL and Windows SME must meet the following
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, systems engineering, physics, computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred
Nine or more years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, operating systems programming or naval architecture
Experience working with specific software and/or hardware systems with a specific concentration in one or more areas
Experience working with design principles and applications
Strongly suggest that successful candidate has current certifications in all the required skills
