Parent Aide Supervisor
Parent Aide Supervisors will oversee a continuum of services for families who are involved with Division of Child Safety (DCS) formally known as Child Protective Services (CPS), and help them to build safe, nurturing environments for their children.
Additional duties include:
Managing day to day operations, overseeing referrals, documentation, contract requirements and compliance for the Parent Aide Services managed.
Partnering with stakeholders (responding to funding sources, creating relationships with partner agencies and community resources, etc.)
Measuring and tracking progress and outcomes for children and families in line with CPS' performance criteria.
Communicating effectively with families, Parent Aides, Child and Family Team members (stakeholders, therapists, case managers, etc), and agency management.
Providing supervision, support and employee development to Parent Aides and evaluating performance.
Other duties related to the provision, coordination and oversight of the Parent Aide services program.
Requirements
Supervisors must be 21 years or older and have one of the following:
Master's degree with at least one (1) year of work experience in a related field
Bachelor's degree with at least two (2) years of work experience in a related field
High School Diploma with four (4) years' experience in a related field.

Supervisors must also demonstrate an ability to relate to and build positive connections with families of varied lifestyles, backgrounds, and ethnicities. Knowledge and understanding of Family Systems Theory, Family Centered practice, Positive Behavior Support, family dynamics, parenting skills, and the treatment philosophies of family- based services is also preferred. While this is a supervisory position, it also involves working directly with children and families. The majority of time is spent in homes and the community rather than in an office setting.
Flexibility in scheduling (afternoon, evening, and weekend work availability), willingness to drive to different cities ( Bullhead and Lake Havasu City), and work within the homes/communities of the families is required. Supervisors are required to submit a negative substance abuse test, be able to obtain fingerprint and criminal history background clearance, and clear the Central Registry Check Reports of child abuse and neglect. CPR, First Aid, and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention are required trainings that are provided by the agency. Reliable transportation is required, including proof of insurance, a vehicle safety check and an acceptable driving record.
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
