Position
Summary:
Required to demonstrate a high degree of customer awareness while accurately and expediently processing customers at the checkout.
Responsible for processing all general purchases with a focus on generating add-on sales.
Primary
Responsibilities:
1.
90% or more of the Associate's time is spent in the Cashier function.
2.
Adheres to proper checkout procedures.
3.
Accepts proper forms of prescribed tender.
4.
Completes and balances all daily cash register paperwork and obtains verification 5.
Properly secures company funds.
6.
Ensures that all personal parcels (bags, totes, backpacks, purses, etc.
) are checked by a manager prior to leaving the store premises.
7.
Stocks/maintains front-end racks/shelves and merchandise areas as assigned.
8.
Monitors stock levels of paper, register printer ribbons, supplies, cash register supplies, shopping bags, etc.
and acts accordingly to low levels.
9.
Occasionally, but not regularly, assists in the Service and/or Copy areas as needed.
Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Basic:
o Certification in the Selling Skills program within the first 90 days of employment.
o Constant display of accuracy and professionalism while processing customer purchases.
o Greet and communicate with customers in a friendly, courteous and business-like manner.
o Excellent telephone etiquette, according to company standards.

Successful completion of high school Additional Information:
o Conditions of the work environment are such that minor stress or physical discomfort may occur.
o You are required to stand in a stationary position for periods of time generally not exceeding two consecutive hours.
This would occur while working a cash register.
o You will be exposed to moderately disagreeable levels of noise generated by the high-speed copiers and the continual ringing of the telephone and internal paging system.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
