McMaster & Associates, Inc. is a Civil Engineering and Land Surveying firm with an office in Madison, Mississippi. Founded in 1987, our firm provides services to a variety of clients throughout central Mississippi to include projects related to roads, streets, bridges, water & sanitary sewer, storm-water, subdivision design, topographic surveys, construction surveys, and land surveying.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Knowledge of:
o Mathematical principles
o Automated surveying software (Topcon preferred)
o Field survey methods and techniques
o Land survey terminology
o Safe work methods
o Customer service principles
Skilled in:
o Using complex optical and electronic instruments and equipment
o Reduction of raw field data
o Using computers and related software
o AutoCAD familiarity
o GPS Equipment
Ability to:
o Read graphic instructions
o Read construction plans and specifications
o Prioritize and assign work
o Training subordinates on work methods
o Prepare reports and written documents including charts, schedules and maps
o Communicate and use interpersonal skills to interact with co-workers, supervisor, the general public, etc. to sufficiently exchange or convey information and to receive work direction
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or G.E.D., additional coursework in GIS, engineering technology, mathematics; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
CERTIFICATION
Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Mississippi driver license.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Medium Work: Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
