Yahoo currently has a Software Quality Assurance Engineer position available at our office in Sunnyvale, CA.
DUTIES: Working on projects of diverse scope and complexity, develop quality standards for Yahoo products, certification & execution of software test plans & analysis of test results. Write test cases, develop automated tests, execute test cases and document results, and work closely with engineers and product managers while writing defect descriptions. Collaborate with product managers, user experience experts, and developers.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field followed by 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or a computer-related occupation.
Experience must include:
1. Java, JavaScript, Objective-C, or C/C++
2. Foundation in computer science
3. QA methodologies, procedures and documentation
4. Writing and QA test plans and test cases and in executing them
5. Linux/UNIX environment experience and Perl and/or shell scripting
6. Experience in manual and automated testing for mobile applications.
