Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant


NORTH KERN SOUTH TULARE HOSPITAL DISTRICT is seeking an individual with strong leadership experience to plan, organize, develop and direct the care of patients in a Rural Health Clinic setting, under the direction of the Supervising Physician and in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern its facility and mid-level practitioners. May be directed by the Administrator, the Clinic Manager, and the Medical Director, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times and that all patients are treated with care. The individual will be delegated the authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out assigned duties and is charged with carrying out the care policies established by NORTH KERN SOUTH TULARE HOSPITAL DISTRICT as outlined in the Non-Physician Supervision Agreement and the Policy Manual.
The candidate we are looking for must have the following Minimum
Qualifications:
o Must possess, as a minimum, a license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Board certification preferred.
o A minimum, two (2) years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a primary care setting is preferred.
o Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish or English/Tagalog).
o A minimum, one (1) year of experience with CHDP, VFC, SOFP, BCEPP, CPSP or other similar State healthcare programs preferred.
o Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of California.
o Must possess a current, unencumbered, furnishing number (Nurse Practitioner) in the State of California.
o Must possess a current, unencumbered, DEA number.
o Must be actively pursuing the required Continuing Education Unit credits to ensure their license remains current and unencumbered.
o Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
o Must possess the ability to deal tactfully and patiently with patients, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
o Must be knowledgeable of medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to Rural Health Clinics.
o Must possess leadership skills and the ability, willingness, and patience to work harmoniously with Clinic Staff in assisting with the care of patients.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
